Rama Tusli is a species of holy basil native to India and other parts of Southeast Asia. In Indian folk traditions Tulsi is one of the most spiritually sacred plants, and in Ayurvedic medicine is seen as a rejuvinator or tonic herb that nourishes general health. It is adaptogenic in that it helps the body regulate to stressors and builds resiliency. Tulsi also positively addresses nervous system issues and promotes relaxation, as well as being uplifting to the mood.

Rama tulsi has many researched and folk medicinal applications such as being anti-inflammatory, pain reducing, protective of the heart, blood sugar balancing, immunomodulatory, antihistamine, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and has antiprotozoal activity. It is neuroprotective  and helps with memory or head trauma. Additionally, Tulsi acts as a digestive aid for bloating, gas, stimulates digestive enzymes, and cleansing waste.
