~Rama Tusli is a species of holy basil native to India and other parts of Southeast Asia. In Indian folk traditions Tulsi is one of the most spiritually sacred plants, and in Ayurvedic medicine is seen as a rejuvinator or tonic herb that nourishes general health. It is adaptogenic in that it helps the body regulate to stressors and builds resiliency. Tulsi also positively addresses nervous system issues and promotes relaxation, as well as being uplifting to the mood.

Rama tulsi has many researched and folk medicinal applications such as being anti-inflammatory, pain reducing, protective of the heart, blood sugar balancing, immunomodulatory, antihistamine, antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and has antiprotozoal activity. It is neuroprotective  and helps with memory or head trauma. Additionally, Tulsi acts as a digestive aid for bloating, gas, stimulates digestive enzymes, and cleansing waste.

~Blue vervain is native to the United States and Southern Canada. In folk practices it was used to treat nervous conditions, and is classified as both an adaptogen and as a nervine relaxant. It strengthens and nourishes the nervous system, and helps in nervous issues where there is resulting muscle tension or spasms. It is also helpful for general pain and inflammation in the body, and for female hormonal issues.

~Skullcap is native to North America, Europe, Asia, and Canada. Used by Native Americans as a nervous system tonic, for kidney problems, and women's health. It is a relaxing sedative suitable for mental tension, anxiety, addiction recovery, and as a sleep aid. Additonally skullcap has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and can be helpful for muscle pain and spasms.

~Catnip is native to Europe and Asia, where it was long used in cooking and herbal medicine. Catnip was naturalized to North America and used by Native American people such as the Cherokee and Iroquois as a tonic, relaxant, and digestive aid for both adults and children.  In European folk traditions it was used in fertility charms and as a sleep aid. Medicinally catnip is still a popular herb for nervousness, sleep, colds, flu, mild pain relief, and supportive of healthy digestion. Catnip can also be smoked, and used externally for cuts, burns, bites, and skin problems.

~Ashwagandha is one of the most important adaptogenic herbs used for thousands of years in India. It has a specific affinity for improving endocrine function. For those under constant stress, lack of sleep, or chronic health conditions that leave the body fatigued, ashwagandha can be tremendously beneficial. Associated with the horse in Vedic times, ashwagandha's use was to improve stamina. ~Passionflower's is native to the Southeastern United States, Central America, and South America. It's first recorded use dates back to the Aztecs. First Nations people such as the Creek and Cherokee in the United States used passionflower as both food and medicine. It's primary uses are as a nerve tonic and to promote relaxation. It has a mild sedative action, will support restful sleep, and calms the mind. It also acts as an antispasmodic, has mild pain relieving properties for both nerve and muscular-skeletal issues, and is beneficial for hormonal irregularities such as premenstrual syndrome. Additionally, passionflower has been documented to help with side effects from drug withdrawal.

~Chamomile is native to Europe and Western Asia. In ancient Egypt and Greece it was used to expel harmful energy, and promote spiritual balance. Medicinally chamomile is soothing to a tense nervous system. It is often used for irritability, hypersensitiveness, nervousness, sleep troubles, stress, and mood disorders. It has mild pain relieving properties due to it's muscle relaxing action. Additionally chamomile improves digestion, is antispasmodic, antimicrobial, antihistamine, benefits the respiratory tract, and useful for the skin related issues.
